This is something I do not do enough of, B&W with the bike shots... Texture and details show up much greater in these tones. Duly noted.

Please do not get caught up in the flame wars here. Most of these pre pubescent kids wouldnt know what an SLR was if it was shot out of a Canon... Your photos will get recognition here because its sport specific but your efforts will get recognition on the other photo specific sights that you utilize.

Riding in the snow rocks. It makes the most familiar trails that much more tech and challenging. This is a great pic! Fav'd.

I love this pic with one exception.. the lack of lighting on the rider. Is it possible for you to illuminate him without over saturation of the rock. Perhaps a remote flash in tree? I would love to have the opportunity to shoot whistler.

Decent lighting, colour contrast, rule of 3rds... the pic tells a story, read it quick. Nice catch!

Not as often as I would like. In fact, this pic (Sept 06) was the last time I rode it. I hope to ride the hill in late July and August. This guy is on the road all summer blowin' shit up so its hard to coordinate.

Nice catch photog...is that a hint of a transition I see? Last time I rode this it was a flat landing. Has it been dug out?

I'm told its OK to talk to yourself...but others worry when you start to answer your own questions.

I dont feel the sleds are the problem, I have an issue with the kids smoking, drinking and then getting on the sled, bike, vehicle etc. and wrapping it around a tree...or another trail user.
As for the lights...its an old set of BLT's. Im still using the waterbottle battery. |

Ya, that was the original bridge that someone else had started. We put the kybosh on that in a hurry. Its a sketch run in to the existing ladder - I couldnt imagine anyone wanting to ride into that smaller one.

No it couldnt. That reflection is a camera flash on the magazine this pic is in. However, from the same album, I believe this one could. DAMN!!
